Website Redesign

A redesign is similar to the design process of a new website except that a text foundation has already been established. As a result, it usually takes less time and costs less as well. The final result will look completely different but it will be more effective and contain fine details and effects to make it stand out.

The best way to start is by calling and asking for Nigel de Wit. You can then provide the address of your existing web site so he can see what you website currently looks like. A discussion can then take place about the areas you are not happy with and what you want to achieve with a redesign. Once your requirements have been worked out, a scope of work will be produced including prices and this will be emailed or sent in the mail for your approval.

Once you are onboard and have paid the initial deposit, the design mockup process will begin. After a week, professional mockup designs of your new website will be presented to you for your approval. This will be done via our private website so you can see what they look from a computer screen. You may find that one of the designs meets your requirements precisely or it may take a combination of features from each design to get what you want. Either way, adjustments and changes can be made until you are completely satisfied.

Just like the process of ordering a new website, you will be able to see the progress that is being made from a private website that will be provided to you. Once you approve the mockup designs, work will then begin on coding and the creation of your website.

Since you will already have existing text from your other website, some of this can be used to help produce your redeigned site. Alternatively, you are welcome to provide as much new text as you can and there is the other option of requesting the services of a professional copywriter (this is an additional cost). Your existing photos can also be used or new ones can be selected from a number of stock photography website that will be provided to you.

Following any final adjustments that would be worked on together, your website will then be ready to go live.

Assuming you plan to host it where your existing website is located, all you need is the user name and password to your website account at the web hosting company.
